HOW OFTEN CAN I BATHE MY DOG?
Flutterbye Pooch Soaps are so gentle you can
safely bathe your Pooch weekly without drying out its coat. These
luxurious bars have been designed to improve the skin and coat of the dog,
and with frequent bathing will help heal skin conditions, improve coat
condition and provide a more pleasant sleeping experience for you (assuming
you're like us and have more dogs on the bed than people!).
It used to be thought that frequent bathing
would dry the coat, but that was when shampoos were harsh, no excuse for
that now. Our Pooch shampoo bars are made with luxury vegetable oils
of avacodo, olive, and jojoba oils, simply wonderful for the coat, and our
hair too, essential oils and herbs provide healing as well as insect
repelling properties.
A lot of our customers use their Pooch soaps
for their own hair!, having found them to be fabulous for all hair
condition. You will find that, as with our Shampoo Bars, you probably won't
need a conditioner for your dog unless you have hard water, and then a
diluted lemon or cider vinegar rinse will be all you need. |

These
shampoo bars are an all natural alternative to chemical based liquid shampoos.

| Simone,
I wanted you to
know how much I love your products!
When I first got
Nietzsche, she had terribly dry skin (itching, flakes, the works.) As
soon as I got the Oatmeal Pooch Soap, I
used it on her. I then used it weekly for a couple of weeks.
I thought I would also need to add supplements to her diet, but nope,
that was all it took. I haven't bathed her for a couple of
weeks now and she is fine. I haven't seen flakes on her at all
since I've been using your soap. And as an added bonus, whenever
she's wet she smells like oatmeal (no nasty wet dog smell!)
Thanks,

This is a fantastic shampoo for normal bathing, but especially
useful for dry, irritated skin that needs extra care.
Handmade with a nurturing formula specifically designed to target
the irritated skin that occurs from allergies, dirt, bushes, rose
thorns, grass, weeds, field tags and other environmental irritants.
Includes:
Lavender essential oil --
which is uncomparable for skin care -- it nurtures, calms and
heals the skin.
(Note: Lavender will not interfere with homeopathic
treatments.)
Colloidal Oatmeal
Oatmeal has a very long history of helping to alleviate skin irritation,
discomfort, and inflammation. Colloidal oatmeal is soothing to the skin and has strong
anti-inflammatory effects; it's also a natural gentle exfoliant which helps to
loosen dry dead skin, allowing for rejuvenation of new skin tissue.
Colloidal oatmeal not only helps with sensitivity, but may also have a preventive effect
on irritation and help buffer and repair damage from other skin stressors.
Emu Oil provides a deep healing
moisturizer. In addition to being soothing to the skin, it
aids in restoring skin cells and is high in skin nourishing
essential fatty acids.
If your pet has hot spots or skin lesions, you may not need to use
additional products after shampooing, but if you do, we recommend:

An Herbal Vinegar Rinse is best for your hair and also your Pooch's coat. You can find them here. I make them by infusing select herbs for scalp conditions, then mix the herbal extracts with organic apple cider vinegar, kosher vegetable glycerin, silk amino proteins, essential oils and hydrosols, but if you prefer, you can make a quick solution as follows:
|
Aromatic Hair Rinse
A hair rinse made of vinegar and essential
oils leaves the hair shiny and soft and rinses out any shampoo
left on the hair.
3-5 drops essential oils (Lavender and
Rosemary are excellent)
1 pint water or herbal tea
1 Tablespoon vinegar (ACV is good to use)
Shake well, pour over scalp and hair after
shampooing. Leave on several minutes and then rinse.
The vinegar smell will dissipate.
Use as often as desired or every now and then. |

| Simone,
... I love the products.
I just gave my Rottie a bath with the NEEM soap and had no
problems getting it down to the skin or in getting it all rinsed
out. Fantastic!
Thank you
